Continental and Menke Agrar agree on strategic partnership for the distribution of drive belts

The technology company Continental and the Agravis group company Menke Agrar have agreed a strategic partnership for the distribution of drive belts. The trading company for the agricultural sector is one of the leading independent suppliers of agricultural machinery spare parts and accessories with sales channels in Germany and Europe. Continental developed the drive belts, which are predominantly produced in Hanover, especially for the requirements in the agricultural sector. "By combining our partner's sales network with our technological expertise, we are opening up new options for the market and new potential for both companies," says Rodrigo Maia, who is responsible for the industrial business unit for drive systems at Continental.

Two large traditional companies are pulling together
In the future, the drive belts of the Agridur portfolio will be available to specialist dealers and repair shops managed by Menke Agrar in Germany and Central and Eastern Europe. The farmers can thus access a broad portfolio that covers all applications: from covered V-belts to composite and wide V-belts to V-ribbed belts.

Agravis Raiffeisen, based in Hanover and with an annual turnover of more than 6.6 billion euros, is one of the leading independent suppliers of agricultural machinery spare parts and one of the largest agricultural trading companies in Germany.
